In the same line of events, India’s vice-captain Shubman Gill also dropped a catch in the deep square leg region to give New Zealand batter Glenn Phillips life. Gill’s dropped attempt also drew a furious reaction from the former skipper and Indian stalwart Virat Kohli. The moment happened on the last ball of the 36th over when Phillips attempted a lofted shot but didn’t get a good rise.
