Team India are struggling with their approach in the fielding efforts against New Zealand in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 Final. The Indian fielders have dropped a few crucial catches in the first innings to give a lifeline to the Kiwi batters in this all-important and high-stake summit clash of the tournament.
In the same line of events, India’s vice-captain Shubman Gill also dropped a catch in the deep square leg region to give New Zealand batter Glenn Phillips life. Gill’s dropped attempt also drew a furious reaction from the former skipper and Indian stalwart Virat Kohli. The moment happened on the last ball of the 36th over when Phillips attempted a lofted shot but didn’t get a good rise.
The video of Virat Kohli reacting in anger over Shubman Gill’s dropped catch also went viral on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).
