India’s ODI vice-captain Shubman Gill was at his very best in the field during the second ODI against England. After taking a stunning catch to dismiss Harry Brook, the 25-year-old came with another brilliant effort in the field. This time Gill took the key catch of England skipper Jos Buttler who was out after scoring 34 runs.
The incident happened in the fourth ball of the 39th over with Buttler facing Hardik Pandya. India’s all-rounder bowled a slower ball on the middle stump as Buttler made room to hit him over the mid-off region. English skipper couldn’t time the ball well as Gill dove in front and took a smart catch.
Earlier in the day, Harry Brook saw his innings being ended by Gill with a stunning catch. The incident happened in the 30th over as Brook tried to loft Harshit Rana over the top. Shubman Gill made good ground and put in a full length dive to complete the catch.
