The 29-year-old spotting a few young underprivileged fans made his way to the boundary. India’s batter could then be seen handing them some cold drinks to ward off the deadly heat that is engulfing Uttar Pradesh.

This act from India’s batter has won a lot of hearts with many fans pouring their love on social media. Shreyas Iyer is trying to make his comeback to team India after being ignored for the T20I series against Bangladesh.

Mumbai loses three wickets before lunch on day one

The 29-year-old last played for India during the tour of Sri Lanka but didn’t have a great time with the bat. According to reports, the right-handed batter isn’t in contention  for a spot for the series against New Zealand and Australia.

Kanpur was the venue where Iyer made his Test debut against New Zealand in 2021 and scored a century in his 1st innings. His problems against the short ball has seen Iyer being targeted by opposition bowlers on many occasions.
