Star Caribbean wicketkeeper-batter Shimron Hetmyer is set to be in action for the Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2025. He might be there in the role of a specialist wicketkeeper-batter for RR in the 18th edition of the tournament. Hetmyer will also be a crucial asset with the bat for his side while batting in the middle order.
Meanwhile, the Caribbean star has made it to the headlines for another reason ahead of the start of IPL 2025. While practising for RR in a practice session, Hetmyer was hitting some brilliant shots with the bat; in the same line of events, one of his shots happened to break the camera tripod of the RR’s social media team that was recording this practice session.
The video of this hilarious moment also made rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by Rajasthan Royals on their official Instagram handle.
Hetymer will be in action for RR in their campaign opener in IPL 2025 against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, March 23, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
Speaking of Hetmyer’s IPL career since his debut in 2019, he has played 72 matches, scoring 1243 runs in 66 innings with a decent batting average of 31.08. He also has four half-centuries to his credit in his IPL career. The
Rajasthan Royals will be playing with some new additions of players in their squad for the Indian Premier League 2025.
