India went on to beat arch-rivals Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025 in a one-sided game on February 23. Former India skipper Virat Kohli scored a scintillating century in the game, shutting down the criticism going around on his form. The game ended on a good note for India as they have unofficially qualified for the semi-finals. In the league stage, the Men in Blue have just one more game left which is against New Zealand.
The management has kept the ritual going of the best fielder award in the Champions Trophy 2025. This time, fielding coach T Dilip spoke about the contenders for the award after winning against Pakistan. However, the surprise entry was made by Shikhar Dhawan, who came in to hand over the award to Axar Patel for his outstanding effort on the field.

Winning against Pakistan is always a special feeling for the Indian team and the fans, and Kohli's century made it even more special. He scored his 51st ODI century and 82nd century across formats. Kohli also completed 14000 runs in international cricket. He has been brilliant against Pakistan throughout his career, and the fans hope to see him hit more and more tons in the upcoming games.
I never feel that he's struggling for runs: Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer, who scored a stunning half-century against Pakistan, applauded Virat Kohli for his brilliant performance in the game against Pakistan. Iyer revealed that Kohli isn't struggling for runs as he is a class batter, and everything depends on his mindset throughout his career.
"I remember yesterday he had come almost an hour before us for the practice session. He played a few balls … he looked as crisp as he looks all the time. It's just the mindset that he possesses over the years. He's always hungry for runs. So, I never feel that he's struggling for runs, to be honest," said Shreyas Iyer, as quoted by ICC.
