Shashank Singh of the Punjab Kings seems to have found his best batting form again. He demonstrated this on Sunday night in the Indian Premier League 2025 match in Dharamsala against the Lucknow Super Giants. The middle-order batter for PBKS hit Mayank Yadav for a six over the fine-leg area for six runs after perfectly timing one stroke. The ball travelled so far that it even went over the roof, which even shocked PBKS owner Preity Zinta.
Mayank Yadav, who was bowling his fourth over in the game, saw Shashank hitting four on the first ball. But the biggest moment in the game came on the fourth ball of his last over. He was smashed for a 92 m six.

In the opening innings, Prabhsimran Singh spearheaded PBKS' batting attack, setting a target of 237 for the LSG team captained by Rishabh Pant. Along with holding the innings together with a 78-run partnership with captain Shreyas Iyer, who added 45 runs, the opening batsman hit 91 off 48 balls. Shashank Singh and Marcus Stoinis spectacularly completed the match, while Josh Inglis and Shreyas Iyer also made useful cameos with 30 and 45, respectively.
Bad day for pacers
The Punjab Kings smashed 16 sixes, 13 of which were off pacers. In actuality, Mayank Yadav was responsible for six of them, scoring sixty runs in his four overs. Given that they have a good chance of qualifying for the playoffs, PBKS will aim to win this game. The team from Punjab will move up to second place in the standings with a victory in this match.
