A massive crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) saw former Australian spinner Shane Warner’s kids in attendance. Son Jackson was joined by his sister as the two could be seen waving the hat just like Warne did during his career. Shane Warne passed away on 4th March 2022 while on holiday in Thailand.
Cricket Australia (CA) put out a statement on Wednesday where they announced that they were set to continue the Shane Warne Legacy health check. CA and Shane Warne Legacy (SWL) are set to give free health checkups to fans who come to attend the game at the MCG

The statement read “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the Shane Warne Legacy around the NRMA Insurance Boxing Day Test to honour Shane and raise awareness of heart health. Last year it was wonderful to see so many people taking a test, wearing their floppy hats and tipping their hats at 3.50 pm to honour Shane”
Cricket Australia's statement also said “As a result of a phenomenally successful first year, there will now be more than double the number of stations in and around the MCG and we hope to see even more fans taking the opportunity to complete a health check. Shane was an icon of the game, and we encourage all fans to join us to continue to honour his legacy at the Boxing Day Test.”

MCG stands in unison to honor its legend
Shane Keith Warne was one of the best spinners in the game with 708 Test wickets in his 14-year career. Warne called time on his career after the 2006 Ashes series which Australia and claimed his 700th wicket at home. Andrew Strauss was bowled during the 2006 MCG Test and the capacity crowd gave a huge roar when Warne got the wicket.

Shane Warne passed away at the age of 52 suffering cardiac arrest in Thailand. The same day former Australian wicketkeeper Rodney Marsh passed away. The twin losses jolted Australian fans. Warne was a loved figure in Victoria and across the world. The former Aussie spinner also captained Rajasthan Royals to the IPL 2008 title and unearthed the talents of Ravindra Jadeja to the world.
