Indian fielding was on fire during the 4th day of the Kanpur Test on Monday. Mohammed Siraj kept his composure to take an amazing catch to get rid of Shakib Al Hasan. The Indian star kept his eye on the ball which was in the air for a long time.
Ravichandran Ashwin was brought into the attack by Rohit Sharma. The final ball of the 56th over saw Shakib give Ashwin the charge and try to hit him over the top. The former Bangladeshi skipper couldn’t find time with the ball well as the ball hit his toe end of the bat.
Mohammed Siraj who was fielding in the mid-off region did well to keep his eyes on the ball. The 30-year-old timed his movements perfectly and then put his hands in the air as the ball went backward. Siraj didn’t lose sight of the ball as he tumbled over backward and held onto the catch to send back Shakib for 9 runs.

RP Singh makes huge claim on Mohammed Siraj ahead of IPL 2025 Auctions
Former Indian pacer RP Singh has given his views on Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s likely retention strategies. RP Singh who spent a season with RCB in 2013 was speaking to Color Cineplex when he made the statements.
The former India star said, “I feel they don't have any problem. They will just retain Virat Kohli, release everyone else, and use the RTM. If we see the value taking Rajat Patidar as an example, will we get him for more or less than 11 crores at the auction.”
RP Singh also said that the RTM card could work in favor of RCB, “I feel you will get Rajat Patidar for fewer. So you get him back at the auction. Even if he reaches close to 11 crores, you have the RTM which you can use there.”
“Siraj, performance-wise, you will have to again judge whether you will get him close to 11 crores. I don't think Siraj will reach close to 14 crores. They will always have the option that if he reaches there, you can use the RTM," further added the 2007 T20 World Cup winner.
Calling Virat Kohli the most important player for RCB, the former Indian star said, “So they should go with a new mindset. They need Virat, he has contributed a lot to the franchise, and Virat is the most important player as well. So they should think about building the team around him, or with a new thought. I don't see anyone else apart from Virat Kohli having a value of 18 or 14 crores in this team."
