The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be super fun to watch since the Board has released a set of rules and policies for the upcoming season. Among them is the retention policy of the IPL, where each franchise can retain a maximum of six players, including one uncapped player. The policies will benefit many teams, including RCB, as they can now retain five key players from their team.

RCB's main issue is the bowling department; hence, this time, they will have to get some good bowlers in the team who can defend a score of 170-180 on good pitches because that's the only way to win the competition. The mega auction will be very helpful to them if they will be able to utilize the opportunity well.

Here's a look at the six players who RCB can retain in the upcoming mega auction:

1. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is the only player in the IPL history to have played for the same team since the first season. He has done wonders for RCB in the 17 years of his involvement with the team. From being a player to being a captain to being a player again, the bond between Kohli and RCB is never-ending, and the franchise will not let him do so under any circumstance. Hence, he will be the first retention of RCB for the IPL 2025.

2. Faf du Plessis

Faf du Plessis

Another sensational player of RCB is their skipper, Faf du Plessis, who is in splendid form in the T20 tournaments around the world. Faf has been a part of RCB for two years now and has wreaked havoc on the opponents with his bat. He is an incredible player who knows how to play with the minds of the bowlers. However, he didn't get a chance to win the trophy with the team, but he still has a chance in the future, as RCB will retain him.

3.  Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar has improved himself in the RCB team and played some classic innings which have helped the team win a number of matches in the process. Moreover, he is a brilliant player who has good knowledge of the game. Hence, RCB might retain him ahead of the upcoming IPL.

4. Will Jacks

Will Jacks

England's Will Jacks is a recent addition to the RCB team but has proved his worth in the IPL 2024. Along with Virat Kohli, he has made excellent partnerships and scored a good amount of runs in the tournament. Plus, apart from Du Plessis, he's one of the most reliable overseas players on the team.

5. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj is the main bowler of RCB who leads the bowling unit. He has the ability to get quick wickets in the powerplays as well as towards the end of the innings. Management has backed him throughout and will do the same in the future. Siraj knows how to play with the minds of the batters which is a benefit for him.

6. Yash Dayal (Uncapped)

Yash Dayal1

Yash Dayal is top-notch bowler who has improved a lot during his career. After playing for RCB, his confidence has leveled up to a great extent; hence, there's a high chance the franchise will retain him. He is a worthy bowler, and management will surely back him in the future.
