Tempers frayed during the day in Adelaide during the 2nd Test between Australia and India. At the close of play, the visiting side was placed 128/5 still adrift by 29 runs to make Australia bat again. Young Nitish Kumar Reddy smashed Boland for a four on the last ball of the day as the stumps were called.
As he was walking past India’s young sensation, Scott Boland could be seen getting angry and saying something. The batter didn’t respond as he simply walked off the park with Rishabh Pant to fight it out on day three of the game. Scott Boland was yet again the difference maker with the ball getting the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma.

In the first innings, Nitish Reddy had smashed Boland for a reverse scooped six. This was followed by a four and yet another six. This didn’t sit down well with the Aussie bowler who seemed frustrated with the counterattack by the Indian batter.
Angry scenes and controversies make news in Adelaide
Australia and India were involved in a heated battle during the second day of the Adelaide Test match. One of the earliest points of flashes came when Virat Kohli could be seen celebrating the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne by giving the crowd the ‘shut up’ gesture. Later in the day, Mitchell Marsh was given not out in the most controversial fashion.

Virat Kohli could be seen arguing with the umpire as TV umpire Richard Kettleborough didn’t even ask for ball tracking. Ashwin also was seen in complete disbelief after the decision didn’t go his way. The biggest flashpoint of the day came when Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head
Travis Head was bowled out for 140 after helping Australia take a huge lead. Siraj disturbed the timber and was seen uttering expletives towards the batter. Head turned around and said something to the bowler. After this altercation, Siraj was booed by the crowd for the rest of the innings.

The third day’s play will be fascinating with Rishabh Pant and Nitish Kumar Reddy batting together. With just R. Ashwin left to bat the onus will be on the two overnight batters to overhaul the score set by Australia and give Indian bowlers something to bowl at.
