Sachin Tendulkar is the captain of India Masters in the ongoing International Masters League (IML) 2025. The tournament started on February 22, where the India Masters played against the Sri Lanka Masters in the first game. In a thriller game, India clinch victory by four runs. However, Sachin failed to impress the crowd with his performance as he scored just ten runs in the first innings. His captaincy was brilliant, though. He made perfect bowling changes and field settings, which helped the team win the first game.
Despite the presence of several star players on the ground, the real show-stealer was Sachin Tendulkar's daughter, Sara Tendulkar, who was present in the stadium, supporting her father. She was seen cheering for the team throughout the game. The audience loved her for being there for her father on the first game.

India Masters were forced to bat first after losing the toss but it ended up in their favour as they scored 222 runs in 20 overs. Stuart Binny hit 68 runs off 31 balls, while Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan scored 31 and 56 runs, respectively. Suranga Lakmal took two wickets for Sri Lanka.

Irfan Pathan's class bowling led India to victory
India's bowling attack was on fire as they didn't allow the Sri Lankan Masters to win the first game. Sri Lanka's batters were in top-notch form as they almost chased down a huge total of 223 runs. It was Irfan Pathan's fantastic bowling that took the game away from their hands. Kumar Sangakkara scored a sensational half-century, leading the batting attack.
After his dismissal, the team started falling apart, which is where they lost the game. Despite the collective efforts of a few batters, Abhimanyu Mithun's terrific bowling in the final over changed the course of the game. Sri Lanka needed just nine runs to win the game but unfortunately lost two wickets and the game as well.
