It was a huge moment in the game, considering that Rickelton had scored two successive fifties coming into this game. At the end of six overs, MI were placed at 56 runs for the loss of two wickets.Β

Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bowl first in a key game for both sides. After the fall of Rickelton’s wicket, Will Jacks came out to bat at number three. The Englishman was given an early life in just his second delivery of the game. MI got off to a slow start with the bat as the first two overs produced just ten runs. Will Jacks decided to step on the accelerator and hit Siraj for a six and then followed it up with a four. Rohit Sharma got his first boundary of the game when he scooped the ball for four runs.Β

Arshad Khan got the key wicket of Rohit Sharma caught by Prasidh Krishna for seven runs. Suryakumar Yadav welcomes Krishna to the crease with two fours in the first two balls of his opening over. In the fifth ball of the same over, Yadav played a flick shot to the mid-wicket region and Sai Kishore dropped the chance. Will, Jacks then hit Arshad for three fours in the sixth over. Mohammed Siraj gave the English batter his second life of the day, dropping a simple chance yet again in the mid-wicket region. Β
