Sri Lanka won the third and final ODI match on Wednesday after beating India by a massive 110 runs. Virat Kohli was in the midst of action as he was given a rather aggressive send-off by Sri Lankan batter Sadeera Samarawickrama.
The former Indian skipper was looking in good form as he was batting on 20. Dunith Wellage got the ball to turn into the batter as Kohli was struck on the pads and the umpire gave him out. That’s when Samarawickrama turned around and was seen aggressively celebrating in front of Virat Kohli.

The win on Wednesday gave Sri Lanka gave them their first ODI series win over India in 27 years. For India, it was a disappointing result and the worst start to Gautam Gambhir’s reign as the Indian cricket team’s coach.
Rohit Sharma reacts after the humiliating loss
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma wasn’t a happy camper after losing the ODI series to Sri Lanka. The 37-year-old wasn’t pleased with the way the entire team showed application with the bat during the three games.
Rohit Sharma said, “I don't think it is a concern. But it is something we have to look at individually and as a game plan. It is a joke. When you are playing for India there is never going to be complacency. When I am captain there is no chance of complacency. But you have to give credit to good cricket.”
The Indian skipper gave huge props to Sri Lanka for the way they played. “Sri Lanka played better than us. We looked at the conditions and went with the combinations, there are also guys who need to be looked at and hence the changes. There are a lot of areas we need to look at rather than the positives,” he said.
“These things happen, series loss is not the end of the world, you will lose an odd series here and there but it is about how you come back after the loss," he continued.
India will now take a breather before getting ready for the Bangladesh series which is set to start on 19th September. There will lot of questions asked about the batters and their ability against spin. The latest showing with the bat was a huge reminder about the falling standards of Indian batting against quality spin bowling exploited by Sri Lanka.
