Sachin Tendulkar and Ravi Shasti were spotted playing baseball in New York ahead of the blockbuster clash between India and Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup. The two cricket icons are set to witness the high-profile clash, scheduled to take place on Sunday (June 9) at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

In a video posted by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on its Instagram handle, Tendulkar was seen showing off his baseball skills as he faced some throws from his former teammate. It didn't take long for the legendary batter to get used to the game as he amassed the crowd surrounded by a couple of flawless smashes.

Meanwhile, former India head coach and commentator Shastri was seen doing commentary while throwing from the pitcher's mound. “It’s out of the park. It’s gone. It’s game over,” Shastri reacted to Tendulkar’s maximums.

IND vs PAK has always been a big match: Sachin Tendulkar

The batting maestro also spoke about the IND-PAK rivalry ahead of the much-awaited clash in the ongoing World Cup. The 51-year-old believes that both teams will be well-prepared and look to bring out their best on the field. However, he did not hesitate to show his support for the Men in Blue.

“India vs Pakistan has always been a big match, exhilarating. My first World Cup experience against Pakistan was way back in 1992 in Australia and from there all of the number of matches that we’ve played against each other, they’ve all been exciting super exciting. I know both teams are well prepared to go out and give their best. When it comes to sharing, the best of luck that I have is a little more towards India,” Tendulkar said in the video.

Looking at the current scenario, India have the upper hand over their arch-rivals. Rohit Sharma and Co. started their campaign by defeating Ireland by eight wickets. On the other hand, Babar Azam's side suffered a shock defeat against co-hosts USA. India are also ahead in the head-to-head records, having won six out of seven T20 World Cup encounters.
