Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is in Australia to play the final four Test matches of the Border Gavaskar series. The 37-year-old is leading his side in the warm-up game against Prime Minster’s XI in Canberra. Sarfaraz Khan was seen wicketkeeping to give Rishabh Pant some rest during the 46-over per side game.
There was an hilarious moment which happened during the 23rd over of the game. Harshit Rana bowled a short ball to Oliver Davies and the batter went to pull the ball. Sarfaraz Khan dropped the ball and Rohit Sharma was seen hilariously giving playful punch to the 27-year-old.

This is the only practice match for India ahead of the 2nd Test match against Australia in Adelaide. There is a lot of anticipation for the Pink Ball Test match which is set to begin on 6th December. Earlier today, there was a leaked team sheet that revealed Rohit is set to bat number 5 in the warm-up match. It is believed that India’s skipper will move to the middle order during the series to give KL Rahul the chance to open the batting.
Mohammed Shami under microscope ahead of decision on tour to Australia
CRICBUZZ reported on Saturday that Indian pacer Mohammed Shami is set to be closely looked at during the Syed Mushtaq Ali game on Sunday. Indian selector SS Das, along with Nitin Patel and Nishant Bardule, will keep an eye on Shami’s progress according to CRICBUZZ.
The 34-year-old has picked 4 four wickets from 4 games during the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. Shami’s best figures of 3/21 came against Hyderabad while going wicketless in the next two matches. India’s veteran pacer also picked 7 wickets during the Ranji Trophy game against Madhya Pradesh.
If BCCI does decide to send Shami to Australia, the 34-year-old could play the third Test in Adelaide. Jasprit Bumrah was hopeful that Shami will be part of the team at the end of the Perth when he said, “Mohammed Shami is an integral part of this team. He's started bowling, and the management is keeping a close eye on him. Hopefully, you might see him here."
