In Sunday's IPL 2025 match between the Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, captain Riyan Parag provided a brilliant innings for his team. One of the many breathtaking shots in Parag's innings was a shot from his bat that hit a car that was on display outside the ropes. Riyan Parag was in an aggressive mood from the start of RR's batting. The right-hander kept his team alive in the game while chasing the target set by KKR. He continued to smash the bowlers even though the Rajasthan Royals were losing wickets often.

Riyan Parag made history by being the first batter in IPL history to hit six consecutive sixes, leaving his mark on the record books. Within two overs, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain reached the milestone. To get his half-century, Riyan struck the bowler for a six on the second delivery of the 13th over while facing Moeen Ali.

Three more sixes were hit by him before Moeen bowled a wide. Riyan got 32 runs from the over by hitting six sixes to end it. In Varun Chakravarthy's 14th over, Shimron Hetmyer hit a single off the first ball. Then, on strike, Riyan Parag hit him for his sixth straight six. In Sanju Samson's absence, Riyan is in charge of RR. Because of a side strain, the full-time RR captain is not playing. Samson was an impact player for the first three games, and Riyan captained RR during those games as well.

Rinku Singh helped the team to cross 200-run mark

Earlier, KKR won the toss, and captain Ajinkya Rahane chose to bat first. With Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Angkirhs Raghuvanshi, and the captain himself making significant contributions at the top, the hosts amassed 206 runs, led by a half-century from Andre Russell. After Gurbaz's 35-run innings and Rahane's 30-run performance were added to Raghuvanshi's 44 off 31 deliveries, Russell blasted 57 runs off 25 deliveries with four fours and six sixes. Rinku Singh helped the home team surpass 200 runs with 19 runs off only 6 deliveries, while Andre Russell was unbeaten.
