WATCH: Riyan Parag sends ball out of the park with a classic cricket book shot in Duleep trophy 2024

India's star youngster Riyan Parag has been a terrific batter in the domestic set-up and has greatly improved his game. He is currently in action in the ognoing Duleep Trophy, however, he didn't have great outings in the first match of the tournament. But he looked pretty good in the 2nd leg as he displayed some classic shots with his bat.

Meanwhile, Parag, playing from Team India A, hit a beautiful six over long-off in the 11th over of the game. The shot looked eye-pleasing to the fans as the ball hit middle of his bat and the timing was so perfect that the ball went out of the park. It was an overpitched delivery outside off, and Riyan Parag went after it without giving it a second thought. 

The batter scored a quick-fire 37 runs off 29 balls, including five boundaries and one six. After the top order collapsed in 21-2, Parag came in and took charge of the team. While he couldn't convert his innings into a big one, he did pretty well in giving a great start to the team, which was much-needed. However, India A are again in huge trouble as they were 115-5, before lunch.

Vidhwath Kaverappa is absolutely brilliant in the ongoing match as he is hardly allowing the batters to even touch the ball. He dismantled the top order and will be hungry for more wickets in the later half of the game. The morning session belonged to Team India D, as they claimed five wickets in the game's first three hours. However, the game might change any second and both teams need to be careful.

Ruturaj Gaikwad retired hurt in match against Team India B

In the fourth match of the Duleep Trophy 2024, Team India C's skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad, got injured in the 2nd over the game and had to walk back into the pavilion. As per reports, the player is doing fine now and can come back to bat in the later half of the tournament. The injury wasn't very serious, which is good news for the team since he's a brilliant batter, and to win the game, they need their captain. 

Moreover, Ishan Kishan has come out of injury and is playing in the ongoing match. He was batting on 20 runs before lunch and looked pretty set. This is a good opportunity for him to score some runs and gain the attention of the selectors.
