Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was recently chatting with noted TV journalist Rajat Sharma on his show Aap Ki Adalat. The youngster was asked a rather funny question during the course of the show about the India vs Pakistan rivalry by the host.

One of the chants during the India vs Pakistan match which was heard was “Tel lagalo Dabur ka wicket lelo Babar ka”. Speaking about this Pant had a smile on his face and said that it is the passion of the fans that make them come up with such statements.

The 26-year-old also said that both sides give it their all to play for their national sides. Pant also said that there is a banter which keeps happening and makes the rivalry even more entertaining on social media.

Rohit Sharma backs Rishabh Pant to bat at number 3 spot

Team India began their T20 World Cup campaign with an easy 8-wicket win over Ireland. Rishabh Pant was asked to bat at number 3 for India and the 26-year-old scored an unbeaten 36 off 26 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes in his knock.

Rohit Sharma while speaking to the media ahead of the huge game said, “I had to look at Rishabh in the few games in IPL to make up my mind on where he will bat in the World Cup.”

Speaking to Rajat Sharma, the Indian wicketkeeper also said, “Cricket is a game of percentage. If you get the percentage, your chances for victory are better. Looking at the actual environment where the majority of the team was selected already, Jeetney Ke Zyada Chances Hain, Hum World Cup Jeet Sakte Hain.”

Former India fast bowler Zaheer Khan while speaking to CRICBUZZ said, “He reminds me a bit of Viru. He has the clarity on his game. If you don't know that, you can't be confident. What happens at the other end doesn't impact him, because he knows if he pulls off what he can, that would be enough. And that makes him the X-factor.”

Zaheer Khan ended the chat by saying, “He has the things that make him stand out from the rest. He has made a strong comeback after what he's been through in the past 1.5 years. He provides the spark.”
