After MI’s 8-wicket win against KKR, the star KKR batter Rinku Singh attracted the eyeballs for one of his famous moves of ‘asking for a bat’ from any senior player, especially Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. This time, it was former MI skipper and batting stalwart Rohit Sharma who was on the receiving end of Rinku’s childish request after Virat Kohli gave him a bat last year in IPL 2025.
The moment happened when Rinku entered the MI dressing room, and he happened to ask Rohit Sharma for a bat. Meanwhile, the star MI batter Tilak Varma also joined the banter, saying, “Khud ke naam pe bat aaye hain, itne ache bats hain, phir bhi bat maang raha (Rohit) bhaiya se (He has a lot of bats on his bats, the very good bats and still, he is asking Rohit bhaiya for a bat).”
The video of this heartfelt moment involving Rinku Singh and Rohit Sharma also went viral on social media as soon as it was shared by the Mumbai Indians on their official X handle (formerly Twitter).

Besides him, the veteran pacers Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar also bagged 1 and 2 wickets, respectively, alongside a wicket each scalped by Hardik Pandya and Deepak Chahar.
While chasing the target, the hosts comfortably chased down the total in just 12.5 overs, scoring 121 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Eventually, MI won the game by 8 wickets to register their first success in the tournament.
