However, amidst the commotion, Suryakumar Yadav has come forward to defend Rohit, praising his contributions and dismissing concerns about his fitness. Suryakumar Yadav pointed out that his record as captain speaks for itself. As India gets up for the last match against New Zealand, Rohit Sharma has a fantastic chance to solidify his legacy.

"As a captain, he has led us to four ICC event finals; it is a big matter for the country. It is really big if someone plays this way for 15-20 years. I have watched him so closely, how hard he works during franchise and international cricket. He is right there at the top. I wish him luck for the final," Suryakumar Yadav said.

India aims to win ICC Champions Trophy 2025

The Men in Blue have had an impeccable season, defeating Australia in the semi-final after sweeping through the group stage undefeated. Rohit sees this final as an opportunity to make amends for India's heartbreaking loss to Australia in their previous ICC in the ODI World Cup at home. Team India will be keen to forget the past and add a second ICC trophy in as many years since they are only one step away from success.

There will be a fierce matchup, though, as New Zealand is riding high following their convincing victory over South Africa in the semi-finals. India is the clear favorite going into the match after defeating the Black Caps in the group stage.
