South Africa beat Pakistan by 7 wickets on Friday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the T20I series. The star with the bat for the home team was Reeza Hendricks scored 117 runs from mere 63 balls. Hendricks hit 7 fours and 10 sixes in his knock as the home team chased down the massive target of 207 posted by Pakistan.
Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and chose to bat first and saw his team score 206/5 from their 20 overs. Opener Saim Ayub missed his century as he was not out on 98 runs from 57 balls. The young batter didn’t get a chance to bat out the last few balls of the innings which denied him his 1st T20I ton.

Former skipper Babar Azam scored 31 runs which came off 20 balls with 3 fours and a six. Irfan Khan then gave Pakistan the much needed momentum towards the backend of the innings with his 30 off 16 balls. Dayyan Galiem and Ottniel Baartman were the best bowlers for then hosts with 2 wickets each.
Reeza Hendricks ton flattens Pakistan
Chasing 207 to win the game, South Africa lost wicketkeeper Ryan Rickelton early for just 2 runs. Matthew Breetzke was the next man out after scoring 12 runs from 10 balls with one four and one six. Both wickets were picked by left-arm seamer Jahandad Khan to give his side a good start.
Rassie Van Der Dussen joined Hendricks and the veteran pair then added 157 runs for the 3rd wicket. The stand came in to 82 balls, as none of the Pakistani bowlers were able to contain the flow of runs. Hendricks got to his century with a huge six off Haris Rauf.
There was an instant celebration by the batter who got a huge round of applause from the capacity crowd. Rassie Van Der Dussen then took the home team to win with a huge six off Abbas Afridi to seal the series. The veteran batter was not out ion 66 having faced 35 balls with three boundaries and 5 huge sixes.
