It was an amazing moment to witness for the fans in Visakhapatnam when former RCB skipper Faf du Plessis and former RCB pacer Harshal Patel faced off each other in the DC vs SRH, the 10th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025. Notably, both Faf and Harshal were a part of the RCB squad in IPL 2023.
The former Proteas skipper was leading RCB in that season while Harshal was one of the key bowlers for the franchise.

Speaking of the action of the game between DC and SRH, the visiting skipper Pat Cummins, won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, SRH were bundled out at the score of 163 runs in 18.4 overs. It was only Aniket Verma who scored 74 runs off just 41 balls, with five fours and six sixes, followed by Heinrich Klaasen’s 32 runs off 19 balls.
The veteran DC pacer Mitchell Starc claimed a match-winning five-wicket haul, scalping 5 wickets at 35 runs in his 3.4 overs. Besides him, star spinner Kuldeep Yadav also picked 3 wickets, alongside a wicket bagged by Mohit Sharma.
While chasing the target, DC’s opening pair, including young batter Jake Fraser-McGurk and vice-captain Faf du Plessis, stitched a swashbuckling opening partnership of 81 runs in just 8.1 overs before both the batters fell prey to SRH’s Zeeshan Ansari. Du Plessis smashed 50 runs off just 27 balls, with three fours and three sixes.
McGurk and Abhishek Porel played the crucial knocks of 38 and 34 runs, respectively to help Delhi Capitals chase down the target comfortably in 16 overs, scoring 166 runs for the loss of 3 wickets and winning the game by a big margin of 7 wickets.
