WATCH: MS Dhoni wins hearts with incredible gesture shown towards elderly fan

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni has been busy ever since being reinstated as the skipper for the third time. Dhoni led CSK to a huge win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by five wickets in the recent Indian Premier League game on Monday. Chennai will next take to the field on Sunday as they are set to face Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

In a recent video that is doing the rounds, Dhoni could be seen at the airport flanked by security personnel. It was at this point that the CSK skipper spotted an elderly fan who was confined to the wheelchair. Dhoni was seen going up to the fan and taking a selfie with her. The moment was caught on camera by a few fans and it warmed the hearts of many cricket fans. 

This is not the first time Dhoni has been known to show his friendly side to the fans. On one occasion, Dhoni helped a fan get to practice as he offered him a lift on his bike. Just before the IPL, a few fans were speaking to MS Dhoni on video call. The former India skipper is known to be guarded about his private life off the field. During the IPL, though, MS Dhoni makes an effort to connect with his fans. 

CSK youngster makes huge statement after match winning knock 

Young former India Under-19 World Cup winner Shaik Rasheed made a sensational debut for CSK in the game against Lucknow. Rasheed opened the batting with Rachin Ravindra in what was his IPL and scored 27 runs. His aggressive batting also meant that CSK got a great start with the bat and eventually won the game by five wickets. 

Speaking at the end of the game, Rasheed, as quoted by NDTV, said, “I was very nervous. How should I play? The approach is the same. I have to show my intent. Shivam Bhai and Mahi Bhai said the way things keep your body as calm as possible. Don't look at the audience. Just react to the ball; that's it. I want to dedicate this knock to the net bowlers. They bowled so well. They put in a lot of effort for me. That's why I gave it to them.”

MS Dhoni was named man of the match for his unbeaten knock in the previous game versus LSG. Speaking at the end of the game, Dhoni had said, “It's good to have a win on our side. Gives confidence to the whole team and helps us improve in areas we want to improve. We all knew that when it doesn't come your way in cricket, God makes it very tough, and it was a tough game.”
