WATCH: MS Dhoni makes fans’ dream come true with autograph on his bike

Former Indian cricket skipper MS Dhoni is taking some time away after the end of the Indian Premier League 2024 season. There is a massive anticipation about the future of MS Dhoni as far as his playing future is concerned. 

MS Dhoni was recently seen interacting with a fan and took time out to sign an autograph. The former Indian skipper decided to make the fans happy by giving his signature on the swanky bike. The fan in question took to Instagram and posted the wholesome moment and it soon went viral on social media.

All the eyes will now be on Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL Auctions. The five-time winners have already stated their intention to retain MS Dhoni if the BCCI increases the retentions for the mega auctions. 

Will MS Dhoni play IPL 2025?

During a chat with Times of India, the CEO of Chennai Super Kings, Kasi Viswanathan said “I've no idea about it. We've not requested for it. They (the BCCI) have themselves told us that the 'uncapped player rule' may be kept, that's all. They (the BCCI) haven't announced anything as yet. The rules and regulations will be announced by the BCCI”

MS Dhoni during an event in Hyderabad had said “There is a lot of time for it. We have to see what decision they take on player retentions etc. Right now the ball isn’t in our court. So, once the rules and regulations get formalized, I will take a call but needs to be in the best interest of the team”

The former Indian skipper last played for Chennai Super Kings in the game against Royal challengers Bengaluru. The 43-year-old pulled out his vintage form with the bat as he nearly pulled off a miracle win for his side. Chennai Super Kings though lost the game. 

Chennai Super Kings went into the last season as the champions having won the title in 2023. Ruturaj Gaikwad took over as the captain of the team replacing MS Dhoni. Despite a good start to the season, Chennai lost a few key games in the middle of the campaign to end outside the playoffs places.
