With two wins in their respective games, India and the USA are playing in the T20 World Cup clash in New York, hoping to qualify for the Super 8 stage. Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked the USA to bat first, and the batters stepped up with a decent performance in the first innings.
In the 15th over of the first innings, Mohammed Siraj plucked a brilliant backwards running catch to dismiss a well-set Nitish Kumar. Arshdeep Singh bowled a short ball, forcing Kumar to play a pull shot. Siraj, positioned just ahead of the boundary rope at the deep square leg, took a few steps back and lept to complete a brilliant catch. The outstanding effort was well appreciated by the commentators and the fans alike.

In the meantime, the USA posted a decent total of 110 runs for eight wickets on a tricky surface in their 20 overs. Kumar, with his 27 runs in 23 balls, was the top-scorer for his side. Opener Steven Taylor also played a handy knock of 24 runs in 30 balls. For India, Arshdeep was the pick of the bowlers with his four-wicket haul. Hardik Pandya also bagged two wickets, while Axar Patel picked a solitary wicket.

The USA, playing their first-ever World Cup, has had a dream run. They beat Pakistan in a thrilling game that went into super over. Saurabh Netrvalkar became an overnight star after defending the total in the superover. The new entrants had earlier beaten Canada in their opening group-stage match. They will now look to win at least one game to secure a spot in the Super 8 round.
On the other hand, India also has had a great run in the tournament. They first beat Ireland in their opening fixture. In their next game, the Men in Blue beat arch-rivals Pakistan. They too need just one win to secure a spot in the next tournament round.
