Match number 14 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 saw action aplenty as Royal Challengers Bengaluru took on Gujarat Titans. English opener Phil Salt left the RCB fans in complete awe as he smashed a huge six that traveled for a 105-meter six. The shot was hit with such power that the ball hit the top of the roof and went out of the ground.

Mohammed Siraj was left in shock seeing the ball travel such a fair distance. The 31-year-old former RCB pacer had the last laugh when he got the wicket of Salt in the next ball. Salt gave himself room to clobber yet another boundary, but Siraj beat him for pace and uprooted his off-stump. It was a huge moment in the game as the home team had lost their third wicket inside the powerplay.

Salt had to make his way back to the hut after scoring 14 runs from 13 balls with the help of one four and a six. Virat Kohli was the first man to be dismissed when he was out for seven as he was caught by Prasidh Krishna off Mohammad Arshad Khan in the second over of the game.

Devdutt Padikkal was the second man out as he lost his off stump to Siraj for just four runs. At one stage, RCB were placed at 35 runs for the loss of three wickets before the fifth over could be completed. At the end of ten overs, the hosts were tottering at 73 for four with Liam Livingstone batting with Jitesh Sharma.

RCB skipper Rajat Patidar, who scored a fifty in the last game versus CSK, seemed to be in his element again. Patidar played a few attractive shots to take the attack to the GT bowlers as he hit two fours in his knock of 12 runs. Just when Patidar was threatening to play a huge knock, Ishant Sharma ended his knock.

India’s veteran pacer bowled a full ball that hit Patidar in his back leg, and the umpire had no hesitation in lifting his finger. RCB’s skipper didn’t even bother going up for the review as he made his way back to the hut. At that stage, the home team were placed at 42 for four in the seventh over.
