Siraj was released by RCB ahead of the IPL 2025 auctions and was eventually picked by the Gujarat Titans. Siraj picked two wickets in the previous game against Mumbai Indians, which included the scalps of Rohit Sharm and Ryan Rickelton. Ahead of the game on Wednesday, RCB’s social media handle posted a video of Siraj meeting up with Virat Kohli.

The two players shared a warm hug as the rest of the players could be seen in the nets in the background. The 31-year-old then made his way to the rest of his former teammates, like Yash Dayal and current skipper Rajat Patidar. It was an emotional moment for the pacer after having spent the better part of his IPL career in Bengaluru.

Former India legend takes huge jibe at RCB

Virender Sehwag, the former Indian opener, is known for his strong tongue and humorous take on situations. The 46-year-old was recently speaking to CRICBUZZ when he was asked to give his views on RCB’s electric start to the season. Sehwag said, “Gareebon ko bhi toh rehne de, photo le le thodi der. Pata nahi kitnin der gareeb log upar rahenge.”

The former India batter also added, “What do you think, I was talking about money? No. They are all wealthy in terms of money. Franchises earn 400-500 crore every season. I'm not talking about that. The ones who haven't won a single trophy, I'm calling them gareeb."

RCB began the season with an easy seven-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders in their first match of the season. This was soon followed by a huge 50-run win over the Chennai Super Kings last weekend. That win was the first time since 2008 that RCB had beaten CSK away from home in the IPL.
