In the 17th game of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World CUP, Australia faced England at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. In the high-scoring game, Australian batters put up a show as English bowlers struggled to get breakthroughs.

After opening a pair 70 runs partnership England clinched two back-to-back wickets leaving Australia in trouble. However, skipper Mitchell Marsh had some other plans as he smashed multiple boundaries and kept the scoring rate high.

One of Marsh’s effortless shots during Australia’s innings broke a solar panel installed at the stadium. In the ninth over, facing Adil Rashid, the world’s top-ranked T20I bowler, Marsh showcased his power and timing.

As Rashid delivered a short ball, Marsh was ready. He waited for the delivery and then unleashed a massive pull shot, sending the ball soaring high. The shot was so powerful that it not only cleared the boundary but also broke a solar panel at the ground before sailing out of the stadium.

Can England chase down 200+ target?

With some high-octane performances from opening batter Travis Head and David Warner Australia posted a comfortable 70 runs in just five overs. After their departure skipper Marsh and Glenn Maxwell shone with the bat as they added 65 runs for the third wicket.

In the end, a quick 17-ball 30 from Marcus Stoinis helped Australia to cross the 200-run mark as they ended their innings with 201/7 in 20 overs. To win the game and stay alive in the ongoing tournament England will need to chase this target. A loss here will surely put them in a danger zone as unseeded teams have earned some points too.
