Jasprit Bumrah's performance in Test cricket has been exceptional in the past few years. Even during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024, he gave a tough time to the Australian batters, taking 32 wickets in nine innings. It was an astounding contribution from the player, who did his best in the series. During the Cricket Australia Awards, Mitchell Marsh revealed an incident where he was playing cricket with his 4-year-old nephew, who came in with Bumrah's action. Marsh hilariously said it was a nightmare for him.
"My little nephew Ted, he is four years old. We were playing backyard cricket the other day. He came in with Bumrah's action and the nightmare continued," said Marsh jokingly at the Cricket Australia awards. The all-rounder didn't have a good series, as he was dismissed by Bumrah once in the third Test in Adelaide and in both innings of the fourth Test in Melbourne.
Bumrah failed to play in the last innings of the fifth Test match due to injury. That led to his exclusion from the upcoming ODI series against England. The fans will hope for a fit Bumrah before the Champions Trophy 2025 to increase India's chances of winning.
