Star CSK pacer Matheesha Pathirana grabbed a sensational catch to dismiss RR’s wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel in the ongoing RR vs CSK game in the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). Jurel was dismissed after scoring just 3 runs off 7 balls off Noor Ahmed’s delivery on the first ball of the 14th over.

Noor bowled a googly on a fuller length outside the stump. The ball dipped a bit late, and it happened to hit the outside portion of the bat before getting lofted into the air. Matheesha Pathirana judged the ball into the air, and he started running from a backward point and completed the catch just a few inches off the ground.

Speaking of the action of the ongoing RR vs CSK game, Rajasthan Royals has scored 176 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 19.1 overs, having their lower-order batters Maheesh Theekshana and Tushar Deshpande there in the middle. Earlier in the first innings, the star number three batter, Nitish Rana, smashed a fiery knock of 81 runs off just 36 balls, with 10 fours and five sixes. Following him, skipper Riyan Parag also scored 37 runs off 28 balls, with two fours and two sixes. Besides these two, Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer scored 20 and 19 runs, respectively.
