In the ongoing SA20 2025, a couple got engaged during a live game, creating a wholesome moment for cricket fans both in the stadium and the people watching it around the world. The video went viral on social media, displaying the couple’s joy as the girl proudly showed her ring to the camera while embracing her fiance.

The game was between the MI Cape Town and Pretoria Capitals at the Newlands, Cape Town. MI won the game by a huge margin of 95 runs, thanks to Sediqullah Atal and Connor Esterhuizen for smashing a brilliant half-century. The team scored 201 runs in the first innings. James Neesham was the man with the golden arm for the Capitals as he claimed three wickets.

However, the Capitals failed to chase the target, ending up on 106 runs. The total failure of the batting lineup was the main reason behind this defeat. Dane Piedt and Thomas Kaber claimed three wickets each, finishing the game in just 14 overs.

MI Cape Town's bowler Dane Piedt won the Player of the Match award for his brilliant bowling in the game. He spoke about the stadium and how much he enjoyed bowling in front of his family members. Thanks to his performance, the Capitals lost the game by a huge margin. 

"It has been amazing. I have grown up here. Played in front of my wife, son and parents. I keep the guys motivated. Tried creating good energy and express ourselves. I have been watching this from far. But it has been amazing. This is what we have been calling out for. Can't drop a Man of the Match," said Dane Piedt during the press conference.
