Afghanistan's spin wizard, Noor Ahmad, has been terrific in the ongoing SA20 2025 tournament while playing for Durban Super Giants. It was an important game for the Joburg Super Kings for qualifications, but Ahmad's deadly bowling troubled the team. They lost by a small margin of 11 runs, putting their qualification chances in jeopardy. The Durban Super Giants had a good day with the bat and ball, putting up 173 runs on the board.

The credit goes to Heinrich Klaasen for putting up a brilliant show with the bat. He scored 76 runs off 47 balls, including three boundaries and six sixes. While JSK were the ones who won the toss and chose to bowl first. It was the batters who failed them in the second innings. For DSG, Noor Ahmad became the man with the golden arm, picking up three wickets.

He weakened the batting lineup with his fantastic bowling, leading to DSG's victory. In four overs, he gave away 25 runs and scalped three wickets. However, JSK qualified for the knockouts because they had better points than the other two teams.

Noor bowled exceptionally: Faf du Plessis

JSK skipper Faf du Plessis praised Noor Ahmad for his bowling and the way he outplayed the entire batting lineup. The rain breaks were a kind of distraction for the batting team as they lost their momentum in the end. Overall, it will be learning for JSK as they qualified for the knockouts in the SA20 2025.

"Noor bowled exceptionally. He's that kind of bowler - if he gets one, he can get three. Probably outclassed by two quality performers tonight. You try and make sure you switch off while it's raining. And then you switch on again mentally. The strange thing always when there is a break is the small rebuilding phase - just to get yourself in again, and then things get easier," said Faf du Plessis.
