Unbeaten Delhi Capitals (DC) are set to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 24th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The match is set to be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday. Ahead of the game, RCB and DC players Liam Livingstone and Ashutosh Sharma were seen having a light moment.

Both players had shared the dressing room for Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024 season. Livingstone was seen shaking Ashutosh’s hands and asked, “Are you bowling tomorrow?”. The DC batter replied, “Hopefully”. Livingstone replied, “I want to bowl you at you, easy wicket,” and hilariously showed Ashutosh will be in his pocket. The DC batter wasn’t to be left behind as he said, “You will be here” (pointing to the stands)

Ashutosh Sharma began the season with his match-winning 66 not out against Lucknow Super Giants. Livingstone scored his first fifty of the season in the game against Gujarat Titans that his team went on to lose by seven wickets. Currently, Delhi are second in the table while RCB are number three.

Delhi Capitals assistant coach praises skipper Axar Patel

Indian all-rounder Axar Patel has made a great start to the season as the captain of Delhi Capitals. So far, DC have won all their games and beat Chennai Super Kings for the first time since 2010 at the Chepauk last weekend by 25 runs. If Delhi win the game on Thursday, they will go top of the table with eight points from four games.

DC’s assistant coach Matthew Mott speaking to the media ahead of the game, praised Axar and said, “He's just got a great balance on cricket and life. A lot of the time, he'll just summarise the group and make sure the players are included. They're having fun and they've got a smile on their face. He talks a lot about that”

Mott went on to add, “I think he's played enough cricket now to know that it can be a pretty fickle game at times. We're well aware that when you're winning, it's all rosy and it's all good. I like to think that he's got that character where if we do have a bad day, he'll be just as positive and the message will be very similar."
