Phil Salt smashes some brilliant shots for a quick start to the RCB innings of the ongoing RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025 Final. He played a quick knock of 16 runs off just nine balls, with two fours and a six. But it was star PBKS pacer Kyle Jamieson who trapped Salt to play a lofted shot to go up and over; however, the latter happened to leave the ball in the air.

Subsequently, the PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer ran back to come sharply underneath the ball to take a brilliant catch. It was also a crucial breakthrough for the Kings as RCB were off to a quick start, courtesy of some good shots by Salt.

PBKS put RCB under pressure with 3 wickets 

Speaking of the current action of the game, RCB had scored 111 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 13 overs at the time of filling this. Virat Kohli and Liam Livingstone are there in the middle, with individual scores of 35 and 6 runs, respectively. Earlier in the innings, Mayank Agarwal and skipper Rajat Patidar also scored 24 and 26 runs.

Star PBKS pacer Kyle Jamieson has scalped 2 wickets at 25 runs in his three overs so far for his side in the first innings. Besides him, the veteran leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has also scalped a wicket at 23 runs in his 3 overs.

Notably, both teams are aiming to end their 17-year-long drought of an IPL title across 18 seasons of the tournament. Speaking of PBKS, they are playing an IPL final after a long wait of 11 years since 2014, while RCB are in the tournament’s final after nine years since they played it last in 2016.
