Indian Cricketer KL Rahul has taken to the nets to get himself ready for the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament. The 32-year-old batter hasn’t had a great last few weeks with the bat as he failed to do well during the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
On Friday, KL Rahul was seen batting in the nets ahead of the Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament which starts on 5th September. KL Rahul could be seen hitting the spinner straight down the ground in a short video that was posted on X.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul had dropped a cryptic message about an announcement that was to be made and asked the fans to stay tuned. There were plenty of fake retirement posts which were circulated but all of it was debunked.
Chance for forgotten stars to make a comeback
Apart from KL Rahul, most of the other forgotten or fringe players will use the Duleep Trophy as a chance to make it back to the team. One player who is keen to make his return to the national fold is pace bowler Umran Malik.
The 24-year-old was laid low due to dengue but is now back on the field after being passed fit. During a brief chat with ANI, Umran Malik said, “I am feeling better and now I am fully focused on the preparation of the Duleep trophy at NCA. I hope I will be doing good in this season for my team."
Umran Malik also went on to say, “These days I’m bowling a lot with the new ball because I believe swing can make a huge difference at my pace. I want to learn a few things, especially how to formulate a plan and execute it. If you have that, then you will be better prepared to handle the challenges."
Some of the seasoned Indian stars are set to be part of the tournament. The idea behind the move is to gauge the form of the players for the massive next few months of Test Cricket which also involves the tour of Australia.
