Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah brought India back into the contest with an inspired spell after lunch on Day 4 of the fourth BGT Test in Melbourne. The 31-year-old had earlier dismissed Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh in a single over to breathe new life into the contest. The pacer had finished the first innings with 4 wickets and got his fourth wicket in the second innings.
Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey was facing up to Bumrah on the final ball of the 36th over. The Indian pacer was bowling round the wicket and delivered the ball at the perfect length as Carey looked to drive the ball. The batter saw the ball sneak its way in between the huge gap between the bat and pad to rattle his stumps.

Suddenly the hosts were starting down the barrel with the score reading 91/6. India had made a great comeback to change the game in just under four overs. It is to be noted that Australia started their second inning with an overall lead of 105 runs. The hosts conceded 11 runs before dismissing India for 369 on the board.
Jasprit Bumrah scripts history at the MCG
With his 4 wickets in the second innings, Jasprit Bumrah now has 23 scalps at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground. This is the most any visiting bowler has taken at this venue. Australia had lost two wickets before lunch, with their score reading 53 as Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith looked to pile on the runs.
Earlier in the day, Bumrah had got the wicket of Sam Konstas for 8 when he beat the youngster for pace and castled him. Mohammed Siraj then got the wicket of Usman Khawaja for 21 after going through his defences to leave Australia at 43/2. As the second session resumed, both Labuschagne and Smith looked hungry for runs.
Labuschagne in particular got things going with quick running between the wickets to set the tone of the session. Mohammed Siraj came back to bowl and got the huge wicket of Steve Smith for 13, who was caught by Rishabh Pant. It was a huge wicket for India, as Smith had scored a century in the first innings to help Australia reach 474.
