In the 17th match of the ongoing SA20 2025, Pretoria Capitals' James Neesham pulled off an amazing one-handed catch to dismiss Liam Dawson of the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. It was a magnificent catch by the player who is popular for taking such exceptional catches. Dawson was looking good, hitting two back-to-back sixes off Eathan Bosch in the second and third ball of the 20th over.

Bosch then bowled a slow length delivery outside off, and Dawson went on to hit it towards extra covers where Neesham was present. He ran towards his right, stretched his body, and got hold of the ball with just one hand. After the dismissal, his reaction was pretty normal, like he is used to taking these catches. Neesham has been a terrific fielder since the time of his debut.

It was the Capitals who won the toss and chose to bowl first. Their decision was just perfect, but the batters failed massively because they couldn't chase 150 runs. It was Marco Jansen's four wickets that helped the SEC to clinch victory by 52 runs. Well, Dawson was the star of the game, scoring 25 runs and taking three crucial wickets. However, skipper Aiden Markram won the Player of the Match award for his 68 runs off 55 balls, hitting five boundaries and two sixes.

I wanted to watch my technical aspect: Aiden Markram

Sunrisers Eastern Cape's captain, Aiden Markram, won the POTM award for his brilliant performance in the game. When he came in to speak at the presentation, he praised the bowlers of the Capitals for doing the best they could. With this win, Sunrisers are back in the tournament with three wins in six games.

"It was tough, the new ball was doing a lot, swing and extra bounce. When the ball got soft, the odd one was sticking onto the surface, some were holding on, it wasn't easy. They have got some skillful bowlers, so I wanted to watch my technical aspect and thankfully it allowed me to get in," said Aiden Markram.
