The Indian cricket team have arrived in Australia for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024. The first match will commence on November 22, and for that, the visitors have started sweating out on the field during the practice session.
The official social media account of BCCI shared a beautiful video of the players practicing and having conversations with coaches. This an important series for India as they have to win four out of five games and draw one game in order to qualify for the WTC 2025 finals.
Senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be under pressure due to constant criticism regarding their performance in the previous series against New Zealand and Bangladesh. They must not repeat the same mistakes again, or it will cost India the WTC finals.

Except for some players, all the other players have played in Australia at least once, so they will be well aware of the atmosphere. India have dominated the BGT series for a decade under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. It will be difficult for Rohit Sharma to fill his shoes because the former captain has set an unreachable high standard.
All eyes on Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli in BGT 2024
Runs have dried up for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli during the Test setup which is a huge concern for the management. Hence, all the eyes will be on them in the upcoming series. As per reports, BCCI will have a meeting with them regarding their future in the team if things don't turn out well in the BGT series. The former Chief Selector has come in favour of the players and urged everyone to give them time, as they have done a lot for the team.
"We always talk about them and focus on them and want them to shine every time because they are superstars. Just wait and watch what Rohit and Virat do in Australia. They will dazzle with their bats," Chetan Sharma told Times of India.
