Michael Clarke during his chat with the ‘Around the wicket’ podcast said, “If it's their last time here in Australia, I think it will be retirement. They won't be dropped, but in the same breath, I think every cricketer knows that if you're not making runs or taking wickets, there will be conversations around that kind of a thing.”

The former Aussie skipper also said, “Being the captain of the team, you get a slack for that, and if you're the world's best batter for the last 10 years – maybe longer – across formats, I think Virat may get a bit more slack than somebody else.”

“I hope for this series' sake, Test cricket's sakes, they both come out, get back to their best form and score plenty of runs for India, but also Test cricket. We want to see the Australian attack which is a good one, take on the top-order batting of India which is pretty strong in itself," Clarke further added.

Australian commentator thinks Rohit Sharma will be targeted

According to Australian commentator Kerry o Keefe, the home team will go hard at Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. The 37-year-old has been in terrible form with the bat in recent times and questions are being raised about his captaincy.

O Keefe, while speaking to Fox Sports, said, “Rohit Sharma may miss one or two Tests, but he is the captain, and Australia always tries to torpedo the visiting captain. It's been a tactic they've used forever, and I think they'll go very hard at Rohit Sharma."

Former Indian star batter Sanjay Manjrekar, during his chat with Star Sports, said that winning 4-0 is a distant dream. According to Manjrekar, Team India will hampered with the loss of Mohammad Shami who has been a huge backbone for India’s bowling attack.
