He achieved this iconic milestone with a boundary off Haris Rauf between mid-off and covers region. With this achievement, Kohli has now become the fastest to score 14,000 ODI runs, surpassing two former legendary batters Kumar Sangakkara and Sachin Tendulkar.
Kohli has completed his 14,000 ODI runs in just 287 innings, being followed by Sachin Tendulkar in 350 innings and Kumar Sangakkara in 378 innings.
Including his ongoing knock against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025 game, Kohli has scored 14,008 runs in 287 innings of the 299 games he has played. He has an amazing batting average of 57.88, hitting 50 centuries and 73 half-centuries.

Speaking of the current action of the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 clash between India and Pakistan, the Men in Blue are chasing the target of 242 runs in the second innings. They have scored 104 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 18.3 overs, having Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer there in the middle at individual scores of 33 and 2 runs, respectively.
Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed have scalped a wicket each for Pakistan in the second innings so far. Abrar has bowled a brilliant spell so far, conceding only 13 runs in four overs and claiming the big wicket of star in-form India opener Shubman Gill.
