In an interesting turn of events, the ongoing Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024 witnessed three Super Overs in a single game. The match between Bengaluru Blasters and Hubli Tigers finished excitingly, with the Tigers winning the game in the 3rd Super Over. History was created as the Manish Pandey-led Tigers won against Mayank Agarwal-led Blasters.

Chasing a target of 164 runs, the Blasters' skipper Mayank showed a beautiful batting performance by scoring 54 runs off 34 balls. However, after his dismissal, the rest of the team fell apart, and they could only reach the total of the Tigers, drawing the game. That led to the first Super Over.

In the first Super Over, the Tigers had to chase down 10 runs but couldn't win the game. Skipper Manish Pandey did hit an eye-catching six, but it wasn't sufficient for him to win the game, and then eventually went to another Super Over. Moreover, in this over too, Blasters failed to hit 8 runs, which created history since no T20 game has ever seen three Super Overs at once.

The historical Super Over

While the audience present on the ground has been enjoying the game, the intensity increased with each Super Over. Finally, the time for the third and the history Super Over came when the Blasters scored 12 runs. Shubham Hedge took the charge and hit a six in the last ball, which led to 12 runs. Now, the Tigers had to chase 13 runs to win the game and 12 runs to move to the 4th Super Over.

However, Manvanth Kumar L was in no mood to extend the game anymore and hit two boundaries to win the game. For his terrific and effortless batting, Manvanth was given the Player of the Match. This game will now be written in the history of T20 cricket in the upcoming times. Moreover, it was a lucky evening for the fans on the ground who watched a once-in-a-lifetime match.
