WATCH: Hardik Pandya smashes quickfire 47 against Tripura in Syed Mushtaq Ali 2024 tournament

Indian cricket star Hardik Pandya scored 23-ball 47 for Baroda against Tripura during the Syed Mushtaq Ali 2024 game played in Indore on Friday.

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya continued his fine form with the bat for Baroda during the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. The 31-year-old scored 47 runs for his side against Tripura during the game on Friday at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Hardik Pandya faced just 23 balls and hit 2 fours and 5 huge sixes during his knock. 

His knock helped Baroda win the game by 7 wickets with 52 balls left to play. Tripura batted first and scored 109/9 from 20 overs. Former India batter Mandeep Singh scored 50 runs from 40 balls with three fours and a six. Skipper Krunal Pandya picked 2/22 while Abhimanyu Singh picked 3/19 from his 4 overs. 

For Baroda wicketkeeper Mitesh Patel was not out ion 37 off 24 balls. Ninad Rathva scored 17 as Baroda romped home to an easy win. So far the 31-year-old has played four games in the tournament and scored 232 runs with an average of 116 and two fifties. Pandya didn’t bowl against Tripura but has picked 2 wickets in the tournament. 

Mumbai lose to Kerala despite Ajinkya Rahane’s fifty

In some of the other games, Mumbai lost to Kerala by 43 runs. Sanju Samson’s side batted first and scored 234 and reduced Mumbai to 191/9 from their 20 overs. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane was the best batter for Mumbai with 68 off 23 balls. For Kerala, MD Nideesh was the best bowler with 4/30 from his 4 overs. 

Ruturaj Gaikwad led Maharashtra were all out for 99 while chasing 175 set by Andhra Pradesh. Batting first Andhra scored 174/7 from their 20 overs with Pyla Avinash scoring 55. In reply to this, Maharashtra were all out for 99 as Sasikanth and Yeshwanth picked 3 wickets each. 

Chandigarh coasted to an easy 9 wicket win over Chhattisgarh as Amandeep Khare scored 62 for Chhattisgarh. In reply Arslan Khan scored 107 not out for Chandigarh to help them chase down the total with 20 balls to spare. Vidarbha and Delhi posted easy wins over Assam and Manipur. In the game between Mizoram and Punjab, the latter won via super over after the game was tied in regulation time.
