Australia's star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell brought out his brutal best during the 32nd game of the Big Bash League 2024-25. Known for his destructive and lethal batting prowess, the 36-year-old star batter showcased his classic form during the Melbourne Renegades vs. Melbourne Stars clash, hammering a monstrous 122-meter six off Kane Richardson's bowling, which got deposited in the second tier of the Marvel Stadium in Docklands.

This maximum from the former RCB star also shatters Chris Lynn's record of the unofficially longest six in the Big Bash League history of 121 meters, which came against Shaun Tait. The video of his blistering batting performance in the ongoing edition for the Melbourne Stars has gone viral with mixed reactions from the fans. Notably, several fans have hailed him for showcasing his blistering batting performance on his home turf, while a few Indian fans have teased him about his recent form in the IPL.

Speaking about the game here, it was REN skipper Will Sutherland who won the toss and invited STA to bat first in the game. Notably, after being sent to bat first, the side had an awful start to the game with opening batter Sam Harper departing for a golden duck while Ben Duckett made 21 runs before Beau Webster chipped in 15 runs. Skipper Marcus Stoinis was also just able to make 18 runs, but it was Glenn Maxwell who melted the hearts with his batting performance. The stylish right-handed batter hammered 90 off 52 balls, featuring four boundaries and ten towering sixes, with a solid strike rate of 173 to help his side post 165 in the 20 overs of the game.
