The Indian bowlers made a brilliant comeback against Australia during the Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final clash in Dubai. They got rid of Australian skipper Steve Smith, who was closing to his century at a crucial stage of the innings. The batter was on 73 runs off 95 balls when Mohammed Shami bowled him on a slow full-toss ball. It wasn't the ball Smith would have excepted to throw his wickets on, but somehow, he misjudged it, leading to his dismissal.

Smith played a fine inning, scoring runs all around the ground. It was an important wicket since India had been trying to get him for a long time. After his dismissal, head coach Gautam Gambhir was spotted celebrating the wicket.

Indian bowlers have almost done their job in the ongoing game, dismissing all the good batters. In 47 overs, Australia are batting on 249 runs, as we write. Travis Head gave a good start to the game, scoring 39 runs in 33 balls, including five boundaries and two sixes.

Alex Carey anchored Australia to a good total against India

In the ongoing game, Alex Carey played a huge role in helping the Aussies go past the 250-run mark. He scored a blistering half-century but was run out by Shreyas Iyer in the 48th over. Carey's innings was valuable because after Smith's dismissal, he held his nerves and rotated the strike well, including hitting boundaries.

The Indian batters have a tough job to do from here since chasing down a score of anything above 250 would be very difficult. Despite Australia not having a good set of bowlers in the game, they wouldn't let the game slip away from them easily.
