The ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match between England and Australia saw a shocking incident. During the February 22 ICC Champions Trophy 2025 group match between Australia and England, startling sights took place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. A fan was arrested and physically assaulted by Pakistani security forces in Lahore for waving the Indian flag.
Additionally, it is said that the fan was assaulted for displaying the Indian flag at Gaddafi Stadium. This episode exposed Pakistan's objectives and validated the BCCI's decision to not send the Indian cricket team to Pakistan, which infuriated supporters on social media. But the PCB hasn't responded to the issue yet. The Pakistani Board's and ICC's attempts to defend the tournament security staff's conduct would be intriguing to see.

In the meanwhile, Pakistan's cricket team lost both of its games in the current ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and their chances of reaching the quarterfinals were dashed after New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by five wickets in their second group encounter in Rawalpindi. On February 27, the Men in Green will play their last group encounter against Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, only for their dignity.
Pakistan got eliminated from Champions Trophy 2025
Fans and retired cricket players have been disparaging the squad wildly since their elimination from the ICC Champions Trophy on Monday. PCB is reportedly concerned about losing its sponsors and brand value because of Pakistan's dismal home performance in the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy.
For the first time since 2009, the host country failed to advance past the Champions Trophy group rounds. The previous time this occurred, South Africa finished last in their group after winning one game and losing two. In addition, Pakistan became the fourth team to enter the Champions Trophy as the defending champion and exit the tournament in the group stage.
