South Africa has created history by qualifying for the finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 for the first time. They beat the Afghanistan team by nine wickets to reach the finals. After the epic win, former pacer Dale Steyn met the team in the dugout and congratulated them on the win.

After qualifying for their maiden finals, the Proteas got emotional and celebrated like never before. The video of Steyn meeting the team went viral on social media, where he hugged the players. The Proteas gave a perfect birthday gift to the former pacer, who turned 41 years old today.

It was a low-scoring match where South Africa chased down a target of 60 runs in 8.5 overs. Afghanistan's batting order gave up too quickly as none of the players except Azmatullah Omarzai touched the 10-run mark. With this, Afghanistan's dream of qualifying for the finals and winning the cup remained unfulfilled. However, they fought like champions in the entire tournament and will remember this for a long time.
