Team India came into day two of the Sydney Test match with their tails up. Jasprit Bumrah set the wheels in motion with the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne for two runs. Mohammed Siraj then joined in the fun when he got two huge wickets in a single over. All of a sudden the Aussies had their backs against the wall against an aggressive Indian bowling unit.
Sam Konstas had played his now favourite reverse lap scoop in the previous against Bumrah to get the crowd excited. The young batter though was out in the second ball of the 12th over when he flashed a drive off Siraj. Yashasvi Jaiswal, standing in Gully, took a fine catch to dismiss Konstas for 23 runs from 38 balls.

The crowd caught a huge buzz when Travis Head came out to bat. The left-handed batter had scored two huge centuries in the series already. After missing out on the first ball, Head clipped Siraj off his pads for a four to get off the mark. Siraj bowled a short ball that sped off the surface as the batter was squared up. KL Rahul took an easy catch in the slips as the visitors celebrated in front of a stunned SCG crowd.
Huge second day in store for Team India
Jasprit Bumrah won the toss on Friday and chose to bat first to see his side get bowled out for 185. Rishabh Pant was the best batter for the visitors with 40 while Ravindra Jadeja scored 26. Skipper Bumrah scored 17-ball 22 as Scott Boland picked 4 wickets for 31 runs from his 20 overs.
Australia ended the day with the fall of Usman Khawaja for two who was caught by KL Rahul in the slips. Having dismissed Konstas and Head in a single over, Indian players will want to dismiss Smith early as the veteran Australian batter has scored two centuries in two games so far this series.
With just Alex Carey and Pat Cummins to follow, India will also be wary of making the mistake they did in MCG. Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon added over 50 runs for the last wicket to take the game away from India seeing the visitors lose by 184 runs.
