Former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik is currently in action for the Paarl Royals in the ongoing SA20 2025. The veteran wicketkeeper-batter is playing in the South African franchise T20 league in the capacity of a retired Indian cricketer. He made his last IPL appearance last year in 2024.

Even at the age of 39, the veteran wicketkeeper displayed some sensational athleticism behind the wickets against MI Cape Town in the ongoing SA20 game.

The moment of Dinesh Karthik’s amazing wicketkeeping skills came on the first ball of the fifth over when Dayyaan Galiem trapped Omarzai straight in his pads and the latter closed the face of the bat. Eventually, the ball took the outside edge of the bat and went straight towards the right of Karthik and the wicketkeeping veteran made no mistake in reminding of his young days with an enthusiastic athleticism.

Speaking of the action of the match, the Paarl Royals skipper David Miller won the toss and asked MI Cape Town to bat first. Batting first, the table toppers had scored 124 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 17.2 overs at the time of filling this.

Rassie van der Dussen was still there in the middle at the score of 60 runs off 53 balls, with 4 fours and two sixes. Number 3 batter, Reeza Hendricks also scored 30 runs off 27 balls, with a four and a six. Mujeeb Ur Rahman scalped 2 wickets at just 27 runs in his four-over stint, alongside a wicket each bagged by Dayyaan Galiem and Joe Root.

Besides these three, star spinner Dunith Wellalage also bowled an amazing and economic spell, conceding only 17 runs in his three overs, with a brilliant economy rate of 4.25.
