Noted Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is touring India as part of his Dil-Luminati tour. The singer was in Kolkata entertaining his fans with his favourite numbers. During the course of his concert, the singer got the fans excited when he mentioned the Kolkata Knight Riders' name.
Diljit said, “Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo re. Yeh bahut achi tag line hai. Yeh Kolkata Knight Riders ki hai? Badi pyari tagline lagi or specially yeh Shah Rukh Khan sir ki team hai toh waise hi lagni thi hume kyuki hum sir ke fan hai.” (Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo is the tagline of KKR isn’t it? It is an amazing tag line just like Shah Rukh Khan sir. I love the tag line as much as I love Shah Rukh Khan himself)
Thank you for bringing joy to the City of Joy, @diljitdosanjh Paaji. I’m sure all at @KKRiders and their fans love the Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo reference. All the best and have a great tour…. Love u https://t.co/SS9EpJV0Ev

Team owner Shah Rukh Khan replied to the singer and wrote on Twitter, “Thank you for brining joy to the City of Joy. @diljitdosanjh paaji. I am sure @KKRiders and their fans love the Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo reference. All the best and have a great tour. Love you.”
Current Indian Premier League (IPL) title winners Kolkata Knight Riders were active during the Auctions that took place last weekend. Venkatesh Iyer was purchased for INR 23.75 Crores. This made the 29-year-old the third costliest player to be picked during the two-day event in Jeddah.
Quinton De Kock who was released by Lucknow at the end of the season has moved to Kolkata. He will be joined by his teammate Anrich Nortje to bolster the pace bowling attack. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, and Vaibhav Arora also returned to their franchise after being released at the end of the season.
Former IPL head Lalit Modi during a podcast had stated that KKR wasn’t Shah Rukh Khan’s first choice. The league came into being in 2008 and according to Lalit Modi, Shah Rukh had his eyes set on two other sides.
Lalit Modi said, “Shah Rukh Khan wanted Mumbai, but Mukesh Ambani took that franchise. Kolkata was available and Shah Rukh Khan invested in the team. He made cricket entertaining.”
The former IPL head also said, “Shah Rukh Khan and I were schoolmates. When I approached him for cricket, I had little knowledge about the game, but I still urged him to be a part of it.”
