Dewald Brevis lands a brilliant catch during the fourth fixture of SA20 match, sending Faf du Plessis back to the pavillion. Although, Brevis initially lost control of the ball, he quickly recovered by tossing the ball back into the air, and the jumping back into the field to take a clean catch.
The match, played between Joburg Super Kings and MI Cape Town, was interrupted by the rain. Owing to which, the match was reduced to just 19 overs. MICT were able to manage 141 runs and JSK were chasing, all thanks to both lower order batters helped MICT reach decent total on the board after being in trouble at stage one Delano Potgieter and George Linde who secured 44 and 48 runs respectively.
Dewald Brevis' clean catch stuns the crowd
Facing a length ball from Kagiso Rabada just outside the off-stump, Faf du Plessis aimed for an insideout shot which would be a straight boundary. However, the biggest twist was brought in by Dewald Brevis who showed his athletics and obstructed the ball with his hand. With impeccable timing, Brevis leaped into the air to get hold of the ball, tossed it back to play while it was still mid-air, further diving back to secure a stunning catch.

The third umpire gave his verdict, confirming a clear dismissal of Faf du Plessis. Rabada and his other teammates were delighted and celebrated the dismissal of the star batter. This was a classic moment in the game which amazed the crowd. Du Plessis was dismissed for 30 off 23 balls. He was able to score four fours and a six, putting the Joburg Super Kings in a challenging position.
